The Simplisafe doorbell being designed for AC is a real challenge, I just can't find anything that will feed 24vac off DC. Since you obviously have AC there, I'd look into an Ohmkat wall adapter, which with a bit more effort you could hardwire. Yeah that's my plan b, I have that wall adapter in case it starts dying.
